QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
Is a party expert’s report worth the same?
It has the same procedural value if it meets art. 335 LEC; the judge weighs every report under the rules of sound judgement (art. 348 LEC).
When must it be filed?
With the claim or the defence (art. 336 LEC). If that is not possible, it is announced and filed at least five days before the preliminary hearing or the trial (art. 337 LEC).
What is a counter-report?
A report that reviews the other side’s, points out its errors and gives an alternative technical explanation.
Does the expert defend the report in court?
Yes. They confirm it at the hearing and answer questions from the judge and the lawyers.
How quickly do you work?
The draft is ready 24 to 48 hours after the visit. If your court deadline is close, call 614 194 985.
