§ 03 · BEFORE YOU HIRE
Expert report or technical report? They are not the same
A report is only an expert report if the person who signs it can defend it before the judge. Spanish law provides for the expert to attend the trial to explain it and answer questions (art. 347 of the Civil Procedure Act).

Have you been told they will do the expert report “but without going to court”? Then they are offering you a technical report, not the expert report you asked for. Always ask before you hire: “Will you defend the report before the judge?”. Our reports are signed by a chartered expert who does.

Why won't you give me the price by email?
Because every case is different. We talk it through with you by phone, and straight afterwards we send you the quote in writing.
Who will carry out the visit?
A chartered expert from our network, the best suited to your case and your area. We assign them.
Is the report valid for court?
Yes. It is an expert report: it is signed by a chartered expert who answers for what it states and defends it before the judge if summoned. If someone offers you an “expert report” without defending it in court, what they are offering you is a technical report.
